Asbestos Awareness Training is a legal requirement under the Regulation 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 for all workers who may be liable to be exposed to asbestos. If you are liable to be exposed to asbestos or supervise people who may be, our Asbestos Awareness Training is designed to help you avoid carrying out work that will disturb asbestos.
It is particularly suitable for anyone who is liable to be exposed to asbestos as part of their everyday job such as maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers or construction workers.
Our course is designed to give delegates a general awareness of asbestos, where it is likely to be found and the consequences of disturbing asbestos containing materials. It explains how to limit the risk of exposure by adopting safe working practices. We can conduct Asbestos Awareness Training at your own premises or other suitable locations as required nationwide.
- The properties of asbestos and its health effects;
- Types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and asbestos materials in buildings and plant;
- Procedures to be followed to deal with an emergency;
- How to avoid the risks from asbestos.
All delegates who successfully complete the short test at the end of the half day course are awarded a uniquely numbered attendance certificate.
All our training is compliant with Regulation 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Approved Code of Practice L143.
Our flexible approach means we are also able to offer bespoke courses designed to meet clients’ individual asbestos training requirements.
