To comply with the Equality Act 2010, employers, service providers and building owners now have a greater responsibility to ensure their business premises incorporate suitable access arrangements for people with disabilities. Whilst in some instances this may involve making physical building alterations, in our experience buildings which comply with Equality law are more attractive to tenants and easier to sell.
We are able to offer a complete Equality Act Access Audit (EAA) of your properties to ensure compliance with the regulations that came into force on 1st October 2010.
Generally an EAA only needs to be undertaken once. A review is recommended prior to refurbishment to allow any recommended modifications to be incorporated into the refurbishment programme.
We understand the need for cost-effective, workable solutions and will not propose any building works or modifications unless they are necessary to meet legislative requirements.
All our consultants are Health and Safety professionals with a wealth of experience and knowledge. They have conducted Equality Access Audits on a wide variety of properties and are able to recommend and discuss the options open to you regarding any proposed remedial actions.
We can help with Equality Access Audits across the UK.
